Key-loggers or keystroke loggers are programs that can log keystrokes and save them as log files or send them via emails or ftp to the person who has installed key-logger. It can record date and time of application which was opened and capture what was typed in it may it be notepad, wordpad, MS word or any website URL, user name, password in your web browser. It can also distinguish between other keys pressed other than character keys including ctrl, alt, enter, win etc.
